Handling Feet,Hoof Trimming and Shoeing                                                                                        

Unfortanately, generally our farriers don't have the time to educate our horses on the process of shoeing. Although it is fair and reasonable to expect a farrier to be gentle, polite,patient and kind with our horses, we have to do our bit to ensure our horse is appropriately schooled prior to his arrival. Spending just a small amount of time handling our horses feet and familiarising them with the procedures and tools saves distress for the owner and horse at a later date and makes the process a happier experience for all.
